5.0I enjoy coming here even just to have a coffee after a session. The staff are friendly and the swim school instructors are amazing. I haven't used the gymnastics programs however, a lot of my friends have enrolled their children to do gymnastics. The kids appear happy and engaged.
5.0Dylan or Daniel I think his name is, is very good with my nieces and nephew, very clam and gentle in the water, teaches them well and helps guide them while also managing other children, a great fit for a swim instructor, well done sgac for who you hire
4.0New updated review (16-10-2025): I am updating this review and have now provided two additional stars due to the active and quick response from Christian Ryan who got back to me regarding my concerns. They still do have problems with their booking and class online systems , which Christian acknowledged. They however are willing to make accomodations if we request over the phone or in person. The process is not smooth as yet by any means but they are actively trying to improve on them. So the additional two stars is for the Effort and the Response time. Thank you Christian. Old review ( 08-10-2025 ) : This rating is not about the staff , they are good people. This is primarily about the system they have in place. The waiting list system does not work most of the time. The email does not reach you once a spot opens up and you end up having to leave your kid in the old spot learning nothing new although your kid is ready for the next level. In that way they hold your kid back , which in my opinion is a very bad way to manage things .
3.0My kids have been doing swim lessons at SGAC for years now, and honestly, I’ve noticed that the progress has been very slow. Recently, my son was told he failed his moving-up assessment because his breaststroke kick technique was incorrect. Two months later, he failed again for the exact same reason. What’s frustrating is that in between assessments, no one was consistently correcting him or telling him what he specifically needed to improve during his weekly lessons. If SGAC truly wants kids to progress, shouldn’t coaches actively work on the exact skills the child failed on? Kids should know what they need to practice to pass the next assessment, instead of just swimming week after week without proper guidance. I used to recommend SGAC to other families, but now I honestly think families should consider trying other swim schools first before enrolling here. As a suggestion to SGAC: focus on correcting the skills children fail during assessments, communicate clearly with both kids and parents, and provide ongoing feedback during lessons. Right now, it feels like many kids are just being kept at the same level for too long without enough support to improve. And judging from conversations with other parents, we are definitely not the only family who feels that progress is very slow.
1.0My daughter has been going here for 4 yrs. I am extremely greatful to her trainers however. Very disappointed with customer service and front desk staff. I was held at the gate like a criminal and interrogated in very rude tone of voice. Staff exchanged staring looks with each other. In between of talking with me they started asking my daughter to give her name to check if she was booked for the class. It was very racist and unprofessional. All I had done was scan my family pass instead of my daughters named card. This could have been told with simple politeness. They have ruined my mood and my whole day for trying to enter in a place for a service I pay for. The staff need soft skill training don’t judge people with their looks.
