5.0Saw a fabulous show there a couple of weekends ago: Gods Cowboy. An intimate theatre with a great little bar with snacks and drinks, and there is literally not a bad seat!
5.0I've had the privilege of attending two theatre productions at The Flightpath Theatre. The first was "The Sweet art of Bruising". My friend and I had no idea what to expect. Half way through the performance we looked at each other and said "wow". We were blown away by the story and the acting, and the quaint size of the theatre itself which made the whole experience feel more personal. We have both been keen to attend another production at The Flightpath Theatre but timing has not been on our side. Until recently where we attended "Losing It". Along with the preshow "tickle" by Rachel Thomas. Both productions were extremely clever and showcased Aussie theatre at its best. Both times I have attended The Flightpath Theatre the foyer has been staged to compliment the main production. Which just adds that something extra Definitely look forward to attending even more productions at The Flightpath Theatre.
5.0Went to see a Fringe Festival show here. The venue was super cute and intimate. Really suited the show, which featured Emma Sandall. An amazing all-around performer with her show Ambivalent Woman of 37. Show was so good I went back a second time :) Venues like this are a necessity for the Arts community as a whole. It gives independartists the chance to give birth to ideas and develop their craft.
4.0This unique independent theatre presents works that would not be seen live elsewhere. The use of body mics has improved the listening experience especially when an aircraft flies overhead. Go see an independent show and preserve live theatre.
4.0Saw a preview of Shadow Boxing last night. Excellent performance by Sam Addison - looks like yet another Hemsworth brother but who is apparently no relation. Less than an hour runtime but you still feel like you've had a good night at the theatre. The script has plenty going on and whilst it covers well worn themes, it has enough to say to make it engaging. Well worth the admission.
